Located 70 kilometers northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels are an astonishing engineering feat that played a decisive historical role during wartime resistance.

An Underground City Carved by Hand

Extending over 250 kilometers across multiple interconnected levels, the tunnels contained complete underground communities equipped with smokeless Hoang Cam kitchens, water wells, operating rooms, ammunition workshops, and sleeping quarters.

"The ingenuity required to construct and ventilate hundreds of kilometers of subterranean tunnels using simple hand hoes and baskets is staggering," says historical guide Major Le Van Nam.
