Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are home to over 4,000 active technology startups, with venture capital investment surging across digital banking, logistics optimization, and agricultural robotics.

"Vietnam possesses one of the world's youngest, most digitally savvy populations, coupled with an exceptional base of software developers and mathematical talent," noted venture capital analysts.

Growth Drivers

  • Cashless Society: Over 88% of retail transactions in Saigon are now settled instantly via VietQR and digital wallets like MoMo and ZaloPay.
  • Generative AI & SaaS: Local engineering labs creating specialized LLMs for Vietnamese commerce, healthcare, and education.
  • Cross-Border E-Commerce: Vietnamese craftspeople and apparel brands reaching global consumers through direct digital fulfillment platforms.

The Ministry of Information and Communications projects the digital economy will contribute 30 percent of national GDP by 2030.
