Frictionless Entry Sparks Extended Stays
Digital nomads, retirees, and luxury leisure travelers are taking advantage of the simplified electronic visa portal, which now processes approvals within 48 hours without third-party sponsorship requirements.
"Travelers are choosing to stay longer in Vietnam, combining remote work in Da Nang and Saigon with immersive cultural stays in Hue, Sapa, and the Mekong Delta," said the VNAT Director General.
New Travel Policy Features
- 90-Day Validity: Flexible single and multiple-entry permissions for all nationalities.
- Automated E-Gates: Biometric passport gates operational at Tan Son Nhat (SGN), Noi Bai (HAN), and Da Nang (DAD) airports.
- Remote Worker Hubs: Dedicated high-speed fiber internet co-living spaces registered under special hospitality licensing.
Tourism receipts for the first half of the year reached an unprecedented 420 trillion VND ($16.8 billion USD), outpacing pre-pandemic benchmarks by over 24 percent.
